About Me

My photo
Mel
Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa
I am an occasional blogger which I do to keep sane and save memories. One day when I am old and hopefully still fit and fabulous, I get to read about my life and thoughts and emotions. I am a 47 year old mother of 2 teens and one real life adult. Daniel is 22 and about to graduate his honours degree in Information Systems, Rebeka is 16 in grade 10 and Sofia is 14 in grade 8. Gary is still my fave husband and next year marks 16 years of marriage. This blog was started 6 years ago to document my move to Singapore which never happened. Since then I have developed Oromandibular Dystonia, had a craniotomy, started triathlon and completed my Social Work degree graduating this year cum laude. I intend starting my own practice next year. I just need to get my brave on. I love my kids, my husband, my dogs, my country, my friends, my siblings, my mom, and my dad who lives in heaven but visits me whenever I hit the mountains which he loved. And I love. I am passionate, intense, over sensitive, opinionated, brave, determined, awkward, fit, competitive, blunt, sarcastic, hard working and despite this odd mix, rather like who I am most of the time. I hope you enjoy my blog. xxx
